Patrick McNamara
Retires

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Patrick McNamara, the Director of Programs for Step Denver, is retiring. Pat came to Step in 2012 as a resident and over his 8 years as a staff member of Step has helped hundreds of men to find recovery from the disease of addiction. While we are happy that Pat is entering a new phase in his life and are sad that Pat is leaving Step as an employee, we are proud to share that Pat will continue to serve Step as a member of our Board of Directors, providing his wealth of recovery knowledge and experience to the mission and vision of the organization. We wish Pat well in his well-deserved, and certainly earned, retirement. Thank you, Pat for all that you have done for Step, its staff, and most importantly its men.” - Paul Scudo, Executive Director

After completing the program, Patrick was hired as the Evening Facility Coordinator in October of 2013 and then promoted to the position of Recovery Support Manager in 2015. He then earned his certification as a Colorado Peer and Family Specialist in 2017 and assumed the role of Director of Programs in January of 2018.

"It has been my privilege to be a small part of the success of the Step Denver organization for so many years. The time has come to step back and give someone else the opportunity to continue to grow the Program to meet the needs of the community. Step is, and has been, a huge part of my life. I love this organization and I intend to stay involved in a different role."

Pat has had an immense impact on the formation of our program as it is today, and the resulting effect on our residents and their families. We can’t emphasize enough how grateful we are for Pat’s service, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter!
